This is the last week of Jeff's near-weekly appearances during the iLight and NDP season in 2025. It has been an unforgettable season, especially since this is my first year watching the Cathay busker's busking performances in Marina Bay. This week, he performed his new single 还是爱错 under the fireworks, alongside taking song requests, some that have been performed a few weeks ago, as well as some new ones.
It was an amazing night - fireworks and the audience vibes, leaving me looking forward to his next busking performance.

This song is probably the song that cemented his transition from a viral busker to an established recording musician. This song explores themes of unrequited efforts and mutual maturity as it highlights the painful process of a fading relationship and ultimate acceptance and letting go.
(I chose not to hold back on this song until later on in the chase. I didn't know if I would get another opportunity to hear him perform it, especially now that it has become his most popular track. The addition of the fireworks make this reel so much more romantic and memorable.)

Bonus: Medley
Jeff usually ends his busking sets with medleys featuring more than ten songs. He is the only busker I know who can do this, effortlessly blending the night's unplayed requests into a single flow. This is an extra-long medley comprising 22 songs, spanning everything from fresh releases to timeless hits by the likes of Eric Chou, JJ Lin and Wang Leehom.
