T Junction - ArtsEverywhere@CDC - Bukit Batok - 27 Sep 2025
It's gonna be okay, okay, don't be afraid...
T Junction (红绿灯) (@tjunctionmusic), one of the Top 3 finalists in Mediacorp's reality singing competition Battle of the Buskers (游走的歌王), has become a fixture in the ArtsEverywhere@CDC scene, besides busking, performing at gigs, as well as their preparations for the SG:SW 2025 I Write My Songs competition, where they performed their competition song 单行线 (Uni-Direction) at the major finale concert the following month [update: they won the Melody (Merit) Award]. ArtsEverywhere@CDC has brought the girl group to various locations from east to west, some of which don't have a busking location near the area, including places like Fernvale and West Coast. Altogether in 2025, they have clocked in 20 sessions across 14 locations, including this one right at the heart of Bukit Batok, and T Junction aims to clock in as many locations as possible, bringing feel-good classics and the latest hits to every corner of Singapore.
Bukit Batok West Shopping Centre is the location for ArtsEverywhere@CDC - Bukit Batok.
A traditional heartland commercial hub, Bukit Batok West Shopping Centre is an open-air neighbourhood center that is a one-stop destination for daily essentials and heartland services for residents living in the area. It is home to several coffee shops and food hubs, a wet market, and the homegrown supermarket chain Sheng Siong, integrated with a multi-storey car park at Block 154A. Once a month, residents can also enjoy open-air performances by street performers, courtesy of the ArtsEverywhere@CDC initiative.
浪花一朵朵 [originally performed by Richie Jen (任贤齐), A-niu (阿牛) and Michael Wong (光良)]
This is the theme song for the 2000 film Summer Holiday (夏日的么么茶), starring the three lead singers alongside Sammi Cheng, where she is paired with Richie Jen.
OKAY [original with Stella Seah (谢慧娴)]
There are some songs that I include only in the Busking Chase and some only in the Gig Chase, with this song being one of them on the Gig Chase due to what I feel is the feel-good vibes of the ArtsEverywhere@CDC initiative overall.
This is T Junction's fourth original, where they teamed up with local singer Stella Seah, released in 2024. It is a feel-good upbeat song about personal growth, healing, embracing inner vulnerability, and finding comfort during life's ups and downs.
The ArtsEverywhere@CDC is an initiative that brings arts experiences and vibrancy to communities where they live, work and play. Members of the public can look forward to art performances around Singapore and support street performers. This initiative is in line with the organisers' aspiration to build A Connected Society, where social connections and national identity are strengthened through the arts.
ArtsEverywhere@CDC is a collaboration between the National Arts Council, People's Association, and the five Community Development Councils, and is supported by the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth.
