Flying with the wings you gave me, I know this is not sorrow...
翅膀 [originally performed by JJ Lin (林俊杰)]
This is from JJ's debut album "Music Voyager" (乐行者), released in 2003, and is one of his most defining classic songs. Composed and performed by JJ Lin and lyrics penned by Teoh Sze Er, this heartwarming song captures the bittersweet essence of bittersweet long-distance separation and moving forward using the shared memories as strength. (Do check out other songs from his debut album - this includes his energetic signature song 就是我, the romantic song 冻结, and sentimental ballad 会有那么一天).
In his debut year, JJ has won several awards, this includes the Singapore Hit Awards for Best New Artist in 2003, and the 15th Golden Melody Awards for Best New Artist in 2004.
我无所谓 [originally performed by A-Mei Chang (张惠妹)]
This is the theme song for the 1997 local blockbuster drama Rising Expectations (长河), starring Zoe Tay and Li Nanxing (both A-listers have appeared in countless dramas together), alongside Chunyu Shanshan. The series features sibling rivalry, corporate conflict, and revenge between former friends, and had scenes shot overseas in Istanbul.
